The traditional days to administer the Sacrament of Holy Baptism are The Great Vigil of Easter (April 7, 2012), The Feast of Pentecost (May 27, 2012), All Saint’s Sunday (November 6, 2011) and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (January 8, 2012). The clergy will administer the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on other days to accommodate special circumstances.

The Anglican Church practices infant baptism, teaching that infants receive the Holy Spirit and are regenerated through baptism. Baptism is by pouring, sprinkling, or immersion. Baptism, as one of the Sacraments and channels of grace is necessary for salvation in the Episcopal Church.

The clergy do not insist on any specific membership requirements for baptisms. It is, however, preferable that those seeking to have a child baptized be members of the local community.

Those seeking to have a child baptized must undergo instruction and counseling and such services are conducted according to the canons and rubrics of the Episcopal Church. Please contact our Parish Administrator, Erica Tonner, at (401) 466-2911 for more information.
